Lunar Eclipse, Full Moon, Amazing Grace

"I think the worst thing you could do this week is be inflexible, with your actions, with your thinking – especially with how you choose to see things. Just let it be what it is. Description works better than judgement. For instance, instead of calling someone a horse’s ass, describe the traits and actions that make you think that. It makes no difference to the horse’s ass, but it makes YOU a richer character.

It also helps you get into the flow. If you’re flexible, any little clue, any push or pull can shift you into the exact place you need to be. When we act in this connected spirit, we can get somewhere magical. Maybe not quite yet, but we get in the wave that’s going there." - Satori writes about this week of Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius

Life is full and surprising. We're settling in, making adjustments, getting to know this beautiful land, our neighbors and the people who share this place with us.  After two weeks we have spread ourselves into the space around the vardo and found we need to make changes to things we thought might work, but didn't; and found other amazing gifts to fill in the gaps.

And across the Pacific on the windward side of O'ahu, Carter Lanakila Kupuohi'apaihala Brown? He's growing big and bright like the seed of sunflower we sent to the family for Christmas. Amazing! Yay mo'opuna. Yay mo'opuna's dad and mom.

Here's the evidence of Pete's DIY months of trenching, negotiating, and hard work to get us power and water. The decorative doo-dahs are the Moki touches. The shiny Calendula are her own delightful selves filling that pot, voluntarily.

I took the photo above from the edge of the attached wall that gives us an outdoor/summer time kitchen shelter. The curtain that hangs in the clear sided wall is an old, old favorite piece of fabric that once covered all the windows in our cottage in Manoa Valley on O'ahu. This is the last of that Manoa time, a sweet memory and a simple kind of reminder of how time travels with you. It warms my heart to see the printed curtain when I wake in the morning, or walk around during the day. You know how that feels?

The Full Moon-Eclipse will take take tomorrow morning very early on the Pacific coast where we are. It's densely cloudy here, but I imagine the full moon won't be hard to feel. Elsa Panizzon calls this moon  a time of generosity and grace.

We're feeling pretty darn happy about being here at "the pond." Back in March, I wrote about the theory of 'returning to the pond.' Theory has flowed into reality with a helpful dose of grace. We overflow with gratitude for life as it unfolds, and reveals how we can course correct some bad choices. The way forward is to do the 'thing' differently whenever it shows up wearing a different mask, scent, circumstance.

I'm especially grateful for the Hawaiian Life Ways Oli training that I'm doing. Just began my second month of Oli Honua II with Kekuhi Kealiikanaole. Digging deeper, and reviewing all the chants we learned last month. Whoa! Maleka's mom, Mapuana is in the class with me so that doubled the 'ike and fun for both of us. Yup, when you chant/oli the Universe the Universe chants back.

One last bit of overflowing to top off this post. Sam Lee, British song collector and delightfully vibrant Romani Traveller adoptee. I discovered Sam Lee thanks to generous Terri Windling. Click here to listen to more of Sam Lee.

Big aloha and heart-felt appreciation to our family and friends near and far for the place you fill in our lives. It's a mystery this life is in the big and small of every being.
